Report for Alicante Golf:- 1st Elclectic of 3 rounds this season.

As it's becoming the norm for our visit to this course we had a poor turnout,maybe this time it was because of the 9AM START.The course was generally in good condition except for the greens (maintenance)The weather was perfect for golf as the scores suggest,with several players breaking h'cap.

GOLD CATEGORY With many players scoring in the 30's it finished very close in this category,with new comer S.Martin (pic. right)taking the spoils with an impressive 41 points.It's good to see Nigel Goude returning to form (centre)and I well deserved 3rd place to Charles Jones.(must be celebrating the return of the Wolves to the top flight)	....

	SILVER CATEGORY Captain Brian put up a good show only to find that Derek Maclean would beat him on count back.Niether of them stood a chance of 1st place with Frank Davies in fine form and returning an excellent 40 points to win by 2.

THE NEAREST THE PIN WINNERS !

Can you spot the guy in the pink shirt (Barry Roehrig)and his partner in the pairs on his left (the shy Les Yates),they had a nasty fright when the little guy in front (Frank Davies)scored 40 points in their knock comp. today,pitty His partner couldn't hold up his end. you will have to search our pages to find out who he is!
