Phil began the proceedings ,by thanking the committee for their hard work and assistance during his year,and as is customary the Captain then presented the wives of the committee members with beautiful bouquets of flowers.

The presentation of the various competitions began with the winners of the Eclectic,this was played at Club de Golf Bonalba over 3 rounds,Pictured is winner Nigel Goude.

The next competition was the Bogey's Medal Shield,this was held at several of our favourite courses and the participants could select their best 3 cards from 5.Maybe the Captain was giving a little inside advice on this one because his wife won and was the only one under par

The last of the comp's was the President's Trophy.(Stableford) this again was played over 5 courses and the participants choosing the best three cards.

The Captain then announced a suprise award.Earlier in the year he had travelled to the U.S. to see the open,and while there happened to give TIGER a few tips,obviously they worked.(TIGER WON)as a thank you he sent Phil a Trophy,to be awarded to the most deserving Committee member of S.M.G.S..Without a moments hesitation Phil had his man.The award is named Tiger Woods .. Amatur Trophy.Deserving ?You Decide !!!!
