This year our Captain, Keith Stevenson will run the following competitions in conjunction with our normal weekly Comps.

1) Names are required by the 14th November 2009 for a pairs Knockout competition that will begin on the 1st December 2009 (1st round to be completed by 31st Jan. 2010) 2nd round by 31st March,3 rd round by 16th June and final round by 25th August.These dates may change should more rounds be necessary.

2) Keith is also running an individual matchplay competition,this will have the same time scale as the pair's comp.

Rules and conditions for the above comps are as follows,

1) IN ALL CASES the Captain's decission will be final !

1a) Handicaps:- lowest handicap goes to scratch,and opponents take 3/4 of the difference (slope included to be decided by h'cap sec.in case of dispute)

1b) In the case of a tie after 18 holes,the match will be decided on who won most on the back 9 ,then back 6 etc. as in Stableford.

1c) Match to be forefieted for time elaplsed.

1d) It is to be agreed between the participants where the matches are played,if no agreement can be reached (for whatever reason),the Captain will decide

3) There will be during Keith's year an ORDER OF MERIT. This will be calculated each week (except team games) The format will be that the best score of the day receives 25 points and the player finishing in 25 place will receive 1 point.(NO CATEGORY'S in this competition)

4)Aas in recent years there will be the Bogey's sheild,Presidents Putter,and of course the Eclectic.
